SUCCESSFUL PROMOTION SEMINARS

Since 1992 “Successful Promotion Seminars” have helped police officers, deputy sheriffs, and correctional officers prepare for the promotion process. Our success is based on helping well-qualified
candidates present their qualifications in a logical, precise, and appropriate manner.

Law enforcement agencies are looking for the best-qualified candidates for promotion to all ranks. We have identified the key dimensions, characteristics, and traits agencies are looking for and reward. For most officers, it is difficult for them to present their qualifications and experience in an oral board or assessment center. Using our method of preparation and presentation, officers better understand the promotion process, the dynamics of the oral board, and how to present their
qualifications in the best possible way.

YOUR WINNING PROFILE

Our preparation is based on the Organization, Achievement, and Personal Profiles. Candidates must understand all of the dimensions in each of the profiles, be able to identify their career successes in each of those dimensions, and finally be able to talk about those successes in the oral board or demonstrate those skills in the assessment center.

Organizational Profile

There arefive dimensions necessary for agencies to succeed, and they reward those who demonstrate the following dimensions: Decision Making, Problem Solving, Leadership, Communications Skills, and Planning & Organizing.

Achievement Profile

There are eight dimensions that help you determine what type of person you really are and are useful in predicting success: Loyalty, Motivation, Chemistry, Energy, Confidence, Reliability, Honesty/Integrity, and Pride.

Personal Profile

The Personal Profile is an inventory of the skills and experiences you’ve accumulated during your lifetime. One of the keys to successful promotion is your ability to accurately evaluate your profile, and match your Personal Profile to the Organization and Achievement Profiles.
